Marc Gómez has been appointed as the new CEO of Ence Energía, Ence’s renewable energy subsidiary – Energía y Celulosa.
He comes from ABB Spain, a company of which he has been President and CEO since 2018 and in which he has developed his career for the last 26 years. Marc Gómez brings a solid experience in the industrial and renewable energy sector.
His arrival at Ence coincides with a time when the company is firmly committed to investing in the renewable energy business, with a focus on electricity generation with biomass and photovoltaics, as well as the development of new formulas that, such as storage, allow progress towards security of supply and offer support to the electricity system.
Marc Gómez replaces Felipe Torroba who, since 2018, has held the positions of General Director of Energy and CEO of Ence – Energía. Felipe Torroba will remain in the company, and will continue to carry out his work from the Finance Department, taking care of the M & A area.
