In first four months of 2019, plywood exports to Philippines slid 2.67% y-o-y to 292.5 thousand m3 with export value decreased 6.97% to 106.6 million. Exports to UK declined 8.80% to 209.9 thousand m3 with export value was down 3.98% to $96.6 million. Exports to Japan dropped 7.59% to 198.2 thousand m3, export value slid 6.7% to $89.5 million.
The most noticeable drop was in plywood exports to U.S. and UAE. Exports to U.S. from China fell 58.7% to 183.6 thousand m3 with export value declined 53.7% to $155.1 million. Exports to UAE decreased 20.7% to 177.6 thousand m3, export value dropped 26.5% to $53.9 million.
