Advance results indicate that total manufacturing sales in Canada decreased 2.1% in June 2023. The largest declines were in the petroleum and coal product, chemical, and food product industries, as Statistics Canada reports.
This estimate was calculated based on a weighted response rate of 66.9%. The average final response rate for the survey over the previous 12 months has been 94.5%.
