A relevant and strategic agreement between Saviola Group (Italy) and the majority shareholder of Nolte Holzwerkstoff Gmbh & Co. Kg (Germany, known on the market as Rheinspan) was signed in Frankfurt, establishing Saviola Holding's will enter equally to capital of the German company.

The Saviola Group is the leader particleboards company in Italy and the most important wood recycler the world with 13 plants and 1500 employees. Divided into 4 Business Units (Saviola – Wood, Sadepan – Chemistry, Composad - Furniture and Saviolife - Lifescience).

Nolte Holzwerkstoff has 69 years of experience in the industrial manufacture of particleboard, making it the oldest family-owned particleboard manufacturer in the world. The family owned company, now in its fourth generation, currently employs around 200 people at its Germersheim location.

This is a joint venture relevant to the sector that will concern the Germersheim company. The interlocution began in the first half of 2019, the expertise between two large companies involved in the production of raw and finished particleboards will be combined. The skills of the two companies will come together to create a new approach capable of combining design, circular economy and sustainability.

In 2019, the Germersheim plant has undergone an investment in wood recycling that will product results, during the 2020 in the name of sustainability. In future a new melamine press will offer top-of-the-range products in the name of hight quality and design.
